Pregnancy Facts:

Did you know that at the very moment a sperm penetrates an egg, all features of your baby have already been determined?  The gender, hair color, eye color, how tall he or she will be; everything to make up this unique little child has already been done.

Before you even found out you are pregnant, the foundations of your baby’s brain, spinal cord and central nervous system are already in place and your baby’s heartbeat has already begun beating (around 21 days).  We saw both of our girl’s heartbeats before 6 weeks (one being at 5 weeks and 3 days)!  Your baby’s eyes and ears are also forming!

Did you know that by the time you have built up enough pregnancy hormones to realize you are pregnant, your baby already has a developing brain, arms, body, legs, a mouth, a nose, a tongue and blood flowing through their tiny veins?

By the time you are eight weeks pregnant, all of your baby’s organs have already been formed.

By week 12, your baby has every component of a little human being; he or she just needs the rest of your pregnancy to grow bigger, stronger and healthier.  Your baby has already been moving, building up his or her muscles and has even begun to practice breathing.

Did you know that by 12 weeks many women will choose to have an abortion, being told their baby is just a bunch of random cells or tissue?  If women knew these truths, knew the facts about early pregnancy and knew that their child was fully developed by 12 weeks and just needing to grow, we wonder, would these women have made the same decision?
